We’re Gerald and Clara, the couple behind Romantic Dining Guide.
We met through mutual friends in Singapore, and dating around the city quickly became our thing. Clara tends to notice the atmosphere, lighting and little details that make a place feel special, while Gerald pays attention to privacy, comfort, service and whether you can actually have a good conversation.
Over time, we realised our favourite dates were not always the expensive ones. Some were skyline dinners, others were coffee afternoons, market meals or long walks after dinner.
Romantic Dining Guide grew from those experiences. We share the places we genuinely enjoy, while looking beyond the food to what really matters on a date: how the setting feels, how easily you can connect, and whether the experience suits the moment.
How We Started
We have always loved going out on dates.
Some are planned weeks in advance. Others are as simple as coffee after lunch, dinner somewhere with a skyline view or wandering through a market and finding something inexpensive to eat together. Over time, we realised that the dates we remembered most were not always the fanciest ones. They were the ones with the right atmosphere, the right little details and, sometimes, just the right place at the right moment.
We started Romantic Dining Guide because we thought: why not share those experiences with other people looking for their next date idea?
What began as our habit of exploring Singapore together became a place where we could share restaurants, neighbourhoods, experiences and small discoveries that might help someone else plan a date worth remembering.
